Brahmastra creates HISTORY on Day 15 by; clocks 85 percent occupancy to collect Rs. 10 crores
The Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt-fronted Brahmastra is creating history at the box office on its 15th Day [3rd Friday]. According to estimates, Brahmastra has become the first ever film in the history of Bollywood to score a double-digit on the first day of the third week.
According to early estimates, Brahmastra has collected in the range of Rs. 9.75 to 11.00 crores on its third Friday, taking the total collections to Rs. 233 crores. For those unaware, the film benefited in a big way from National Cinema Day, as the audience got a chance to experience this epic on the big screen at merely Rs. 75. The Ayan Mukerji directorial recorded houseful shows across the board - be it multiplexes and single screens - and the collections were hit by capacity issues. If the film had more shows and more screens, the business would have been even higher.
The 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D versions have scored an EARTH SHATTERING occupancy of 85 percent on its 15th day, which is among the highest ever for a Bollywood film. Brahmastra is now headed to score Rs. 250 crore plus lifetime collections and emerge a clean hit for the Hindi Film Industry. The prices will be back to regular levels from tomorrow and hence, the numbers might drop on Saturday and Sunday. Yet, the Friday business is enough for the film to find a place in the list of top 3rd weekends of all time.
On the footfalls front, Brahmastra has scored its biggest single-day footfall since the day of release, bettering the admit count of Sunday as well. Around 16 lakh people watched the film on September 23.

Brahmastra Box Office Day 15 (Early Trends): The fantasy adventure film starring Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt in the lead s setting cash registers ringing even after 14 days of its release. Not only in the domestic market but the film is doing a phenomenal performance in the international market as well.
Ayan Mukherji’s magnum opus, which was released in multiple languages, has been performing above expectations even after receiving a mixed reception from the critics and the audience. However, the film was appreciated for its extensive appearances of superstars and VFX.
However, the film saw a slight drop in collections during the weekdays. Ayan Mukherji’s ambitious film brought in Rs 14 crores* between Monday to Thursday and the film had collected 227 crores* in two weeks and now 250 crores would be crossed by the third weekend at this pace.
Now that National Cinema Day is being observed on September 23 with over 4000 screens, the ticket rates have dropped to Rs 75. Owing to this, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva has sold more tickets than its opening day collection of Rs 6.82 crores (Hindi) from advance booking so far. Considering the normal 210-220 average ticket prices for a film like Brahmastra, the collections with today’s footfalls would’ve been in the ballpark of 27-29 crore on a normal day.
However, as per the early trends coming in, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Rs 11-13 crores on day 15 ie. on Friday. Numbers could go higher as there are still some evening shows waiting to put the housefull board at the ticket windows.
