Brahmastra Box Office Day 10: Enters 200 Crore Club, Has A Very Good Sunday!

On its second Sunday, Brahmastra collected 17 crores* more which was even better than how Saturday turned out to be. The kind of jump that was witnessed from Friday to Saturday meant that Sunday wouldn’t have seen further similar increment because there is a limit to how much growth can come on day to day basis.

What is Brahmastra box office COLLECTION?

The box office collection of Brahmastra crossed ₹300 crore mark gross globally at the end of its first week. Helmed by Ayan Mukerji, the sci-fi film starred Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and south actor Nagarjuna in the lead roles.

Sunday late evening and night shows are bound to be impacted since it’s a working day a day later. This doesn’t impact a two-hour-long film as much but with the film being a near three hour affair, audiences are expected to be wary. Moreover, in any case the film is playing on high volumes so even from absolute numbers perspective, Brahmastra has done well to reach this far.

This can well be seen from the fact that 213 crores* have already come in for the film and that too in a matter of just 10 days. So far in 2022 only one Bollywood film has entered the 200 Crore Club, The Kashmir Files, and now Brahmastra is set to surpass its lifetime. A couple of other films have scored well too but both are dubbed releases RRR and KGF Chapter 2. Brahmastra would remain below both the films in its lifetime run but would comfortably surpass The Kashmir Files.

For both Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, this is a very good success indeed and years and years of waiting, anticipation and apprehensions has finally resulted in a lot to rejoice and celebrate.

Brahmastra box office collection day 9: Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor’s film continues to pull audience to theatres, inches closer to beat The Kashmir Files

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra is set to close its second weekend with a high. The film, as per early estimates, collected Rs 15.25-16.25 crore on Saturday, a 55 per cent jump from the previous day. The approx. total collection now stands at Rs 197 crore, and after Sunday’s collection, it will easily surpass the Rs 200 crore mark when it comes to domestic collection.

The numbers are a clear indication that the Ayan Mukerji film has crossed Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif to become the second highest grossing film in the pandemic.

As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, Sunday collections could be close to the Saturday numbers. Thus, Brahmastra will close its 10-day run with a collection of Rs 215 crore. If it continues to pull the audience to the theatre, the Ayan Mukerji directorial will surpass the lifetime collections of The Kashmir Files and emerge as the highest-grossing Bollywood film of pandemic times. On Friday, the makers announced that the film has already crossed Rs 300 crore collection worldwide.

410 crores
Despite a lot of criticism and negative word of mouth, Brahmastra continues to witness footfalls in the theatres. Karan Johar backed Brahmastra is touted to be one of the most expensive affairs of Bollywood. The Ayan Mukerji directorial is said to be made on a budget of whopping 410 crores.
