Dobaaraa box office collection Day 7: Taapsee Pannu's film to wrap up with Rs 5 crore

Taapsee Pannu and Anurag Kashyap's recently released film Dobaaraa has failed to impress. On Day 7, it hardly minted any money.

Bollywood seems to be in a huge mess! Even after terrific reviews from fans and critics alike, Taapsee Pannu's latest Dobaaraa failed to leave a mark at the box office. The film, which released on August 19, is hardly minting any money. It is also struggling to reach the Rs 5-crore mark. As per the latest figures, Dobaaraa hardly managed to earn any money in its Day 7 collections. It minted just Rs 4.74 crore. Dobaaraa is also facing stiff competition from Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan at the box office. However, the latter two films are also not doing well.

DOBAARAA BOX OFFICE COLLECTION

Taapsee Pannu's Dobaaraa collected a mere Rs 72 lakh on Day 1. It is now struggling to cross the Rs 5-crore mark at the box office collections. On Day 6, August 23, Dobaaraa earned Rs 4.40 crore. On Day 7, August 25, the collections hardly increased as its single-day earning was just Rs 0.30 crore. Hence, the total box office collection would now stand at Rs 4.74 crore, according to trade estimates. The Taapsee Pannu-starrer was released in just 370 screens on August 19. Though the film got a thumbs up from the critics, it failed to bring audience to the theatres. Meanwhile, Dobaaraa had an overall 7.41 per cent Hindi Occupancy on Thursday, August 25.

ABOUT DOBAARAA

Dobaaraa is the official remake of the 2018 Spanish film, Mirage. The mystery drama film, directed by Anurag Kashyap, stars Taapsee Pannu and Pavail Gulati in the lead roles. It opened the London Indian Film Festival 2022 and was theatrically released on August 19, 2022. The film opened to mixed reviews from critics. The plot of Dobaaraa revolves around a woman who gets an opportunity to save the life of a 12-year-old boy who witnessed a death during a thunderstorm that happened 25 years ago. She does so by getting connected through the television set during a similar storm in the present. The music of the film is composed by Gaurav Chatterji and Shor Police. Lyrics are written by Hussain Haidry. The background score is composed by Shor Police.
